Against the backdrop of global climate change and growing environmental concerns, low-carbon and sustainable development have become critical issues for the display industry. As a key sector within the electronics and information field, controlling carbon emissions and adopting low-carbon technologies in the production and application of display technologies are becoming central to industry development.
On September 13, 2024, SID China, in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland Greater China, an internationally recognized independent testing, inspection, and certification organization, jointly established the "Display Industry Carbon Emission Analysis and Calculation Method Working Group." The working group is currently setting up its operational framework, planning key initiatives, and coordinating resources. We welcome active participation from all stakeholders!
This forum, exclusively sponsored by TÜV Rheinland, will feature the "Display Industry Carbon Footprint Assessment Technology Seminar" as a new addition to ICDT 2025. Under the theme "Low-Carbon Driving the Future of Displays," the forum will explore strategies for achieving low-carbon and sustainable development in various aspects of display technology, including materials research, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management. Key topics will include carbon emission monitoring and calculation standards, the development and application of low-carbon materials, optimization of carbon footprints in production, green collaborative innovation in supply chains, energy-efficient display technologies, and recycling solutions—driving the industry towards a greener and more sustainable future.
