Zong Qin（秦宗）

Dr. Zong QIN is an Associate Professor fromSun Yat-Sen University, China. He received his bachelor's degrees in opticalengineering and computer science, and Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineeringfrom Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2008 and 2013,respectively.   After serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at National ChiaoTung University (Taiwan) from 2013 to 2015, he worked there as an AssistantResearch Fellow from 2016 to 2019. At the end of 2019, he joined Sun Yat-Sen University(Guangzhou).

Dr. Qin's research interests mainly includeVR/AR, 3D display, applied vision, vehicle display, etc. He has more than 30SCI-indexed papers published (including two Editor's Picks) and more than 40international conference papers, as well as more than 30 patents in differentcountries. He received three Distinguished Paper Awards from SID Display Week,and three Distinguished Paper Awards from ICDT. Also, he gave several invitedtalks at IDW, ICDT, IMID, IDMC, IPC, etc., and gave a 90-min Seminar Talk atSID Display Week 2021 that reviewed the light field display technology. He isnow serving as a committee member of SID and SID China, and an Associate Editorof the Journal of SID.
