Jang-Kun SONGJang-Kun Song received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Korea University in 1994 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Dublin, Ireland, in 2008. He worked in the R&D department of the Samsung Electronics Company from 1996 to 2010, where he developed various display technologies including about 240 patents. Since 2010, he has been a professor in the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. He received the King Sejong Patent Award from the Korean Intellectual Office in 2001, the SKKU Young Fellowship in 2017, and the President of the Korean Information Display Society Award in 2020. He is also co-founder of a venture company, Albatrace, Inc. His research interests encompass organic and quantum dot light-emitting diodes, Liquid Crystals, and optical films. |
