Quanlin LiuProf. Dr. Quanlin Liu received his Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Science (IOP CAS) in 1998. Since then he had been working as an assistant and associate professor in IOP CAS during 1998-2005, including working as Research Fellow in National Institute for Materials Science, Japan (2001-2003). After that, he has worked as a full professor in University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) (2005-now). His current research focuses on rare-earth/transition metal-doped luminescence materials for lighting and display applications, including preparation and characterization, local structure and electronic structure, structure-property relationship, and materials applications. To date he has co-authored more than 200 papers cited more than 15000 times, and more than 10 authorized invention patents.
