Hua Hui

Hua Hui, female, holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Beihang University. She currently serves as the Head of the Haptics Interaction Laboratory at BOE Technology Group's Central Research Institute. Her primary research focus is on on-screen virtual haptic technology, leading the research and development, proposal validation, and implementation of haptic systems, encompassing design simulation, device fabrication, and performance analysis.

Under her leadership, the team innovatively developed screen-integrated haptic technology, enabling users to experience realistic tactile sensations of objects on glass screens, thereby enhancing human-machine interaction. At the 2023 SID Display Week, her team showcased the industry’s largest 42.2-inch in-car intelligent cockpit, which recreated the tactile sensations of buttons, knobs, sliders, and dials on the car screen. This feature supports “blind operation” during driving, improving driving safety. The exhibit won the SID PCA People's Choice Awards, the Silver Award for Display Application Innovation at the DIC Shanghai International Display Technology Exhibition, and the Top 10 Innovative Applications Award at the WCDI Chengdu World Display Industry Conference.

She has filed 33 Chinese invention patents (4 granted) and 24 international patents.
