Victor BelyaevVictor Belyaev is Principal Scientist of Department of Science Development, Professor of Department of Fundamental Physics and Nanotechnology with State University of Education; Professor of Department of Nanotechnology and Microsystem Technology with Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from MIPT in 1980, and Dr.-Eng. habil. in Optic and Optoelectronic Devices from Central R&D Institute Kometa in 1996. 2 Dr.hab., 11 Ph.D., 100+ M.Sc. thesis & B.S. diploma defended under his supervision. He is Project Leader of 60+ R&D projects including international projects with India, Armenia, Byelorussia, UK, USA, Republic of Korea. V.Belyaev is Head of Russian Leading Scientific School “Opto-electronic and photonic new generation devices with using dispersed systems on base of liquid crystals, polymers, semiconductor materials”. He is Director of SID Russia Chapter. He is Member of Board of Liquid Crystalline Society "Sodruzhestvo” (Commonwealth). In 2014 Victor Belyaev awarded with SID Fellow title “For his many contributions to the science and technology of liquid-crystal materials, electro-optical modes, displays, components, and systems.” V.Belyaev is member of International Liquid Crystal Society and SPIE member. Victor Belyaev is author of 12 books, tens reviews, 47 Patents, totally 450+ scientific publications published in leading scientific journals. Six measurement methods are certified by Russian State Committee on Standartization. Victor Belyaev’s group RnD areas are as follows: · Liquid crystal materials, physics, electrooptics, devices (display and non-display application) · Display devices – engineering, market · Display components – alignment including photoalignment, optical films (isotropic and anisotropic), substrates, backlight, phosphors, transparent electrodes · Organic electronics materials and devices · Simulation of optical elements including Diffraction Optical Elements (DOE) · Functional and construction materials with enhanced wear · Physical properties of different materials · Displays ergonomics, visual perception
