Mr. Sun Lei is one of the key drivers in China’s Silicon-based Micro LED industry, with more than 20 years of deep experience in the optical display sector. He combines system-level technical expertise with strong capabilities in industrial integration and capital operations, and holds interdisciplinary backgrounds in mechanical engineering and optics, as well as over one hundred core patents. Mr. Sun previously served at the China International Economic and Technical Exchange Center of the Ministry of Commerce, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of global semiconductor and lighting industry ecosystems, technology pathways, and supply chain structures. Later he founded LIGHTMATRIX, leading the company to evolve from DDIC design into a Platform-based provider of system-level solutions. Under his leadership, LIGHTMATRIX has grown into one of the global leading companies in silicon-based Micro LED display driver technologies. The company has raised several hundred million RMB to date, with applications spanning AR displays, digital automotive lighting, and related fields. In parallel, Mr. Sun has led and participated in multiple strategic industry investments, including leading domestic Micro LED company INNOVISION Technology, demonstrating forward-looking judgment in technology route selection and commercialization timing.
