曹长宏博士是加拿大麦吉尔大学终身教授及加拿大在小尺度材料及制造方向首席科学家。他在多伦多大学获得机械工程博士学位，并在麻省理工学院完成博士后研究，随后加入麦吉尔大学。他的研究兴趣包括微机电系统、转移印刷技术、先进结构的实验纳米力学，以及新型增材制造机制的开发。作为第一作者，他的研究成果发表于《Science Advances》、《Advanced Materials》、《Advanced Functional Materials》等期刊。他曾荣获TMS颁发的青年领袖奖和青年领袖国际奖、《Microsystems & Nanoengineering》青年科学家奖，以及Stony Brook University“40位40岁以下杰出校友”称号等。

Dr. Cao is a tenured-professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in small-scale materials and manufacturing, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto andwas a postdoctoral fellow at MIT before joining McGill. His research interests include N/MEMS, transfer printing technologies, experimental nanomechanics of advanced structures, and the development of new additive manufacturing mechanisms. As the lead author, his research has been published in journals, including Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, etc. He has also been recognized with the Young Leaders Award and Young Leaders International Award from TMS, the Young Scientist Award from Springer Nature Microsystem and Nanoengineering, and Stony Brook University 40 under 40.
