孙玉宝.jpg孙玉宝,河北工业大学应用物理系教授,博士生导师。1999年毕业于河北工业大学应用物理系,获学士学位,留校任教至今,从事教学和科研工作。入选教育部新世纪优秀人才计划,河北省政府特殊津贴专家,任SID学会北京分会液晶显示技术委员会委员,液晶光子学国际会议的大会主席。主持和参与包括国家重大计划、国家自然科学基金、河北省杰出青年基金培育项目在内的十余项国家级和省部级科学基金项目。共发表包括《Appl. Phys. Lett.》、《Opt. Express》、《Opt.Lett.》、《Liq. Cryst.》等在内的学术论文100余篇,获得专利二十余项。研究方向为液晶器件物理,以研究具有快速响应和宽视角特性液晶器件为目的,研究各种液晶显示器的动力学响应机制、Gamma偏移和宽色域特性,以及聚合物稳定液晶器件中的动力学响应物理机制。

Dr. Yubao Sun is professor and doctoral supervisor, Department of Applied Physics in Hebei University of Technology. He graduated from and worked in the Department of Applied Physics of Hebei University of Technology in 1999 with a bachelor's degree. He was elected to the "New Century ExcellentTalents Program" of the Ministry of Education, an expert with special government allowance of Hebei Province, a member of the liquid crystal display technical committee of Beijing chapter of SID Society, and the Chairman of the sixth International Symposium on Liquid Crystal Photonics. He has presided over and participated in more than ten national and provincial science fund projects, including the National Key Research and Development Project of China,the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Hebei Province Outstanding Youth Fund Cultivation Project. He has published more than 100 papers, including Appl. Phys. Lett., Opt. Express, Opt. Lett., Liq. Cryst., and obtain more than 20 patents. His research interests focus on the response mechanism of liquid crystal device. For the purpose of studying liquid crystal devices with fast response and wide viewing angle, the dynamic response mechanism, Gamma shift and wide color gamut characteristics of various liquidcrystal displays, as well as the physical mechanism of dynamic response in polymer stabilized liquid crystal devices.

       在报告中,将介绍扭曲向列相,共面转换类和多畴垂面排列等透过式液晶显示器件,反射式液晶显示器和聚合物稳定液晶显示器的显示原理,详细介绍影响液晶器件响应速度的物理参数以及获得快速响应的方法;介绍液晶显示器中Gamma偏移和色偏移的物理原理,并介绍降低Gamma偏移和色偏移的方法;最后介绍提高显示器色域和解决显示器三基色差别的方法。



Dynamical response mechanism and wide viewingcharacteristics of liquid crystal displays

In this course, the display principles of transmissive LCDs, reflective LCDs and polymer-stabilized LCDs,such as twisted nematic, in-plane switching type and multi-domain vertical alignment are introduced. The physical parameters that affect the response speed of LCDs, and the methods for achieving fast response will be introduced in detail. The physical principle of Gamma shift and color shift in liquidcrystal display, and the methods of reducing Gamma shift and color shift is introduced. Finally, the methods to improve the color gamut and to solve the three basic color difference of the display are introduced.
