刘召军.jpg刘召军博士,南方科技大学电子与电气工程系助理教授、副研究员、博士生导师。主要从事Micro-LEDs、先进显示与AR/VR技术、巨量转移与先进封装技术、第三代半导体电子器件与发光器件、可穿戴器件等领域的研究。在国际高水平学术期刊与会议发表论文100余篇,获得最佳论文4次;国内外邀请报告40余次;申请美国专利/PCT19项(授权7项);申请中国发明专利87项(授权7项),实用新型44项(授权27项),外观专利8项(授权7项)曾获得香港科技大学2011“百万港元创业大赛亚军、2018“LED首创奖金奖、2019“阿拉丁神灯奖”最佳技术奖、2019南方科技大学校长青年科研奖、2020SID(国际信息显示学会)Peter Brody PrizeCASA“第三代半导体卓越青年”。担任SIDEMQ技术委员会委员、2018Micro-LED& QD专题联席主席;SID北京分会技术委员;CASAMicro-LED专委会委员;《Crystal》与《Nanomaterials》杂志客座编辑;《液晶与显示》青年编委;广东省微显示产业技术创新联盟执行秘书长;广东省珠江人才计划创新团队核心成员;深圳海外高层次人才创新团队带头人。

Dr. George Zhaojun Liu is a tenure-track assistant professor (also hold associate professor title) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He is also adjunct assistant professor in Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) andfounding member of Shenzhen SiTan Technology Limited. His research topics coverMicro-LEDs, wide bandgap semiconductor material and devices, VR/AR and wearable devices. He served as the co-chair of SID DW2018 QD & Micro-LED (QDM)Special Session and committee member of Emissive, Micro-LED, and QD (EMQ) session.He serves as technical committee member of SID Beijing Chapter and Micro-LED committee of the 3rd Generation Semiconductor Alliance. He is the General Secretary of Guangdong Micro-LED Alliance (MiLEDA).

本次课程讲集中讲授与Micro-LED相关的基本知识及其具体应用。包括Micro-LED与有源选址显示技术的发展历程,氮化镓材料的制备与表征,Micro-LED器件的工作原理、器件结构、设计方法、表征手段等,并针对Micro-LED技术的重点和难点技术如全彩色化技术、巨量转移技术、内/外量子效率提升等方面进行分析。



Fundamentals of Micro-LED and its applications

In this short course, I will introduce several parts of fundamentals of Micro-LED displays, including material epitaxy, working principle of devices, design and fabrication methods, driving schemes, mass transferring and monolithic integration, and realization of full colors. The past, current of Micro-LED development and future trends will also be discussed.
